Custom CNC Machined
Fittings

6CNC manufactures CNC machined fittings, adapters, couplings, and fluid connectors when a standard part does not match your design. We review the thread, passage, sealing interface, material, and inspection requirements before production.

Fittings for Your Application

Each component is manufactured to your requirements. These examples help identify the geometry and interfaces to discuss with 6CNC.

01

Hydraulic fittings

Hose ends, adapters, and ORB or JIC interface components made to the supplied sealing and thread requirements.

02

Pneumatic components

Quick-connect components, push-in fitting bodies, and valve-related parts for specified air-system designs.

03

Pipe & tube fittings

Elbows, tees, reducers, couplings, and threaded pipe or tube connectors with defined connection standards.

04

Specialty adapters

Bulkhead fittings, multi-port blocks, and custom reducers for projects with nonstandard interfaces.

Engineering review

Custom Connections for Your Fluid System

Start with the features that determine fit, function, and acceptance. 6CNC reviews these requirements before confirming the manufacturing route.

01

Name the complete thread specification

Provide thread form, size, pitch, class, and gauging requirements. NPT, BSP, ORB, and JIC interfaces must be reviewed against their specific callouts.

02

Define how the connection seals

Identify the sealing face, groove, taper, or mating seat, together with surface condition and the mating component.

03

Plan passage and burr inspection

Specify cross-holes, internal transitions, edge condition, and cleanliness. Agree any leak or pressure testing, media, acceptance criteria, and documentation.

Capability reference

Fittings Machining Specifications

Use these published 6CNC reference ranges to begin your enquiry. The quotation confirms what applies to your actual part.

ItemPublished scope & project review
MaterialsBrass, stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and titanium.
Published size reference1/8–4 inches; custom sizes require drawing review.
Critical-feature tolerance±0.005–±0.02 mm reference for suitable sealing and thread-related features; thread acceptance follows the specified standard and gauge.
Quantity1–600 pieces, from prototypes to small and medium runs.
ProcessesCNC turning, Swiss machining, 5-axis milling, and thread rolling where appropriate to the geometry.
Finishing optionsPolishing, anodizing, nickel or zinc plating, passivation, and black oxide, subject to substrate and application compatibility.

Material and Finish, Planned Together

Specify the material

Specify the alloy, fluid, temperature, and corrosion requirements. Material and component design must be reviewed together; a material name alone does not establish a pressure rating.

Define the finished condition

Coordinate plating build-up with thread fit and sealing dimensions. Identify internal passages or functional surfaces requiring masking, cleaning, or a specified final condition.

Inspection Follows the Features That Matter

6CNC plans thread gauges, sealing-feature measurements, concentricity checks, and agreed pressure or leak testing around the drawing. Define test conditions before the quotation is finalized.

6CNC inspection laboratory with measuring equipment and machined components

01

Review the drawing

Confirm the material, geometry, critical features, quantity, and acceptance requirements.

02

Agree the route

Plan machining, workholding, any outside treatments, and inspection checkpoints.

03

Machine & finish

Produce the agreed drawing revision and coordinate the specified finishing sequence.

04

Inspect & prepare

Complete the agreed checks, documentation, and packaging for the order.

Before you enquire

Fittings Machining FAQ

Can you supply custom thread combinations?

Send the complete callout for each end, the mating parts, and the sealing method. 6CNC reviews the required tooling, access, and gauging.

Are the fittings automatically pressure-rated?

No. Provide the design rating, service conditions, applicable requirements, and test scope. The agreed design and verification determine acceptance.

Can surface treatment change the thread fit?

Yes. Specify whether dimensions apply before or after treatment and identify the required final thread gauges and sealing surfaces.
